An alien world full of aliens exists

Divers hovering over a shipwreck

Diving is like stepping into another dimension, a world where gravity is paused and the light dances to the rhythm of the water's movements. Imagine slipping into this floating space where the silence is broken only by your own breath and the sound of bubbles rising to the surface. You are an explorer in a landscape so different from the dry, solid land we call home. Here, among the coral, seaweed and the colorful labyrinths of the kelp forest, you will find nudibranchs that dress in neon colors so bold that even the most extravagant fashion designer would pale.

Nudibranchs

Nudibranchs are everywhere. But they're hard to see if you don't know what you're looking for
Purple Fringe Snail

These tiny creatures, with bodies so fragile they appear to be made of glass, glide slowly across the surface of the reef, unaware that they are living works of art. And then there are the fish, the weird fish! Some are camouflaged so well that you can swim right past them without noticing them, while others look like they've dressed up for carnival – with patterns and colors that challenge the imagination.

The octopus is the sea's own magician

The octopuses, with their many arms and intelligent eyes, are the secretive sorcerers of this realm. They can change color and shape in an instant, going from being part of the landscape to becoming a terrifying creature from the deep. Observing them is like watching nature's own magician in action.

But it is not only the sight that is enchanting. The sound of your own breath echoing in your ears, the feeling of the water enveloping you, and the total freedom to move in three dimensions is a reminder that we are only guests in this beautiful world. We are privileged witnesses to a play that has been going on long before man set foot on earth, and will continue long after we are gone.

So close, yet so far away

So the next time you look out to sea, think about the incredible creatures that live just below the surface, in a world so close, yet so inaccessible to many. It's a reminder that there are still mysteries waiting to be discovered, right outside our own front door.

I will try to describe and show films and images from this world as I see it.

Welcome to the underwater world.
