Dendronotus frondosus, also known as the “frond eolis” or “bushy backed nudibranch,” is a marine gastropod mollusk found in cold northern seas. It has a narrow body with variable color patterns, making it difficult to distinguish from closely related species.

D. frondosus feeds on hydroids, bryozoans, and other small organisms in kelp forests. It can grow up to 100 mm in length and has distinctive bushy cerata along its back. This hermaphroditic species uses nematocysts from its prey for defense.
